offers Conditioning Cardio Kickboxing, Tai-chi and Pilates
Fitness & Wellness at Life Systems Martial Arts offers Conditioning Cardio kickboxing (a mixture of cardio, karate & kickboxing) classes which focuses and utilizes bag work, focus pads, shadow boxing, kettle bells & medicine balls conditioning. The explosive, upbeat cardiovascular workout emphasizes footwork, body mechanics, punching and kicking combinations and basic offensive and defensive techniques. We will put more energy into our class with the latest upbeat music as it will be fun, challenging, and a great way to stay in shape and improve overall physical fitness. All fitness levels are welcome as we tailor it to each individual needs. You'll also learn some self-defense skills and increase your overall confidence. Our Conditioning Cardio kickboxing class improves endurance, strength, balance, muscle tone, coordination and flexibility. It also builds lean muscle and burns fat. Our Conditioning Cardio Kickboxing program is one of the best cardiovascular workouts. You can burn up to 800 calories in just one class!!
In addition, we also offer Pilates. Pilates is a body conditioning routine which focuses on building flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. In addition, Pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body and strengthen the body's "core" or "powerhouse" (torso). People who do Pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health.
Our third wellness program we teach at Life Systems Martial Arts is Tai-chi chuan.
Tai-chi chuan is a slow motion, moving meditative exercise for relaxation, health, and self-defense. Tai-chi chuan originated in China, but it has gained enormous popularity in America and throughout the rest of the world for its health benefits. Many doctors will recommend taking Tai-chi chuan for the health qualities. Young and older adults of all ages and body types can positively benefit from this program.
